IP management in foreign trade
Jiangsu provincial foreign trade and economic cooperation bureau and Jiangsu intellectual property office recently formulated the "Opinions on Strengthening Intellectual Property Management of Enterprises in International Trade".
The document aims to strengthen IPR management in international trade enterprises, enhance their capabilities in IPR creation, utilization, protection and management and raise the international market competitiveness.
The opinions give specific suggestions from aspects of IPR management and use; IPR protection in import and export, joint venture and cooperation, overseas investment, exhibition and trade promotion; countermeasures for IPR disputes; government support and assistances for international trade enterprises.
The document offers guidance on patent licensing and transfer contracts, as well as IPR related issues in Sino-foreign joint ventures, cooperative enterprises, exhibition and disputes, which will help enterprises enhance IPR protection and management.
